Winter Recipes - Chicken Broccoli and Cheddar Pockets with Photos

Chicken Broccoli and Cheddar Pockets

Chicken, Broccoli and Cheddar Pockets right from your own oven… IngredientsBroccoli cheese pockets
  • 2 large chicken breasts
  • 4 cups bread dough (1/2 batch) – premade from the freezer or refrigerator section
  • 2 cups steamed broccoli
  • 2 oz cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup Alfredo sauce
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese
  • various seasonings
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • ½ TBSP garlic powder
  • ½ TBSP parsley
  • Salt, to taste
  Instructions 1. Season the chicken breast to taste with a combination of salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place chicken on baking rake and bake. Dice chicken in ½ cubes and set aside. 2. Grab a handful of bread dough and roll out into a rectangle with a ¼ inch thick consistently. Spread 2 tsp cream cheese (softened) over the roll out dough. Spread 2 TBSP of Alfredo sauce over the cream cheese. Spread 1/2 cup diced chicken, 1/4 cup steamed chopped broccoli and 1/4 cup cheddar cheese. 3. Next, fold the ends of dough over the mixture and seal seams using water, if necessary. Lightly brush the tops with the olive oil, garlic powder and parsley mixture. 4. Place seam side face down on a lightly cooking oiled sprayed baking sheet. Cut a small vent in the top of the pocket, set aside on the counter and let rise for approximately 30 minutes. 6. Place in oven until golden brown, approximately 20-25 minutes. If desired, brush with olive oil again after baking. Details Prep time: 20 Minutes.
