Cherry Juice for Sore Muscles

A speaker at the American College of Sports Medicine Conference told the audience about the health benefits of drinking cherry juice and aiding muscle soreness for runners. The research that was cited was from the Oregon Health and Science University. It indicated that tart cherries may be able to reduce muscle soreness and inflammation due to workouts. The researchers published the results of the study in the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition. After the reading the research I want to share this exciting information with you. Here is what the researchers said in the article: "Considering the natural anti-inflammatory and antioxidant capacity of tart cherries, it is plausible that cherry consumption before and during strenuous exercise may have a protective effect to reduce muscle damage and pain." So drinking a glass of the tart cherry juice may help with soothing muscle soreness due to just enjoying a busy spring and summer day. So the next time you’re out and about doing everyday chores or yard work, enjoy a glass of the cherry juice, too.

Thanks for this information. My trainer told me about your website and said I needed to order some of your cherry juice concentrate after a workout. I order some of the cherry stuff and it really works.
