Lower Fat Alternative Foods

A number of our customers are looking for natural ways to stay healthy and lose weight naturally. An excellent way to acheive both of these goals is the eat low fat foods. Here is a list comparing high fat and low-fat alternatives. It's a great way to eat almost the same foods but with lower fat intake. Feel free to print off this list and refer to it often. Higher Fat Foods
  • Evaporated whole milk
  • (Lower Fat Alternative)  Evaporated fat-free (skim) or reduced-fat (2%) milk Whole milk
  • (Lower Fat Alternative) Low-fat (1%), reduced-fat (2%), or fat-free (skim) milk Ice cream
  • Sorbet
  • (Lower Fat Alternative)  sherbet, low-fat or fat-free frozen yogurt, or ice cream
  • Whipping cream
  • (Lower Fat Alternative)
  • Imitation whipped cream (made with fat-free [skim] milk)
  • Sour cream
  • (Lower Fat Alternative)  Plain low-fat yogurt
  • Cream cheese
  • (Lower Fat Alternative)   Neufchatel or "light" cream cheese or fat-free cream cheese
  • Cheese (cheddar, Swiss, jack)
  • (Lower Fat Alternative)  Reduced-calorie cheese, low-calorie processed cheeses
  • American cheese

  • Regular (4%) cottage cheese
